We are so accustomed to carrying our devices everywhere (or so concerned about exceeding our cell phone provider's data cap) that most of us don't think twice about connecting to the free public Wi-Fi system at the airport, coffee shop, or public hot spots.

Some Wi-Fi connections are untrustworthy; cyber criminals can infiltrate these systems and collect data sent through them.
